Heath Bar Crunch

1 stick butter or margarine, softened
1 cup brown sugar
2 cups flour
1/2 cup white sugar

1 egg slightly beaten
1 teaspoon soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup sour milk

6 heath candy bars
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Heat oven to 350°
Cream together the first 4 ingredients-butter, brown sugar, flour and white sugar.  Take out 1/2 cup of the creamed mixture and save for top.

Mix together the egg, soda, salt, vanilla and sour milk. Add to creamed mixture.  Pour into a 9 x 13 greased pan.

Crumble heath bars, add nuts and the 1/2 cup of creamed mixture.  Sprinkle on top of batter.

Bake:  25 minutes

Cool:  Cut into bars.
