INGREDIENTS:
2 packages Kool-aid (any flavor)
2 cups sugar
2 quarts cold water
1-46 oz. can pineapple juice (chilled)
1 quart ginger ale or liter bottle sprite (chilled)
For a shortcut use 2 quarts of ready made Hawaiian Punch omitting Kool-aid, sugar and cold water
DIRECTIONS:
1. Mix Kool-aid, sugar and water.
One pkg. cherry kool-aid and one pkg. raspberry Kool-aid make a good flavor combination
For green punch use lemon-lime Kool-aid combination
(For a shortcut use 2 quarts of ready made chilled Hawaiian Punch omitting Kool-aid, sugar and cold water)
2. Add pineapple juice (chilled)
3. Pour over ice in punch bowl (optional freeze Kool-aid or Hawaiian Punch in ice cube trays)
Add chilled ginger ale or sprite
For an extra special punch add 2-3 pints of sherbet instead of ice.
Use raspberry sherbet with red punch and pineapple or lemon sherbet with green punch.

Yogi Tea
Yogi Tea
Submitted by:
Gloria Overcash
INGREDIENTS:
1 gallon water
30 whole cloves
30 black peppercorns
40 cardamom pods (split the pods)
1 stick cinnamon
1 teaspoon fennel seed
fresh ginger root to taste (4” x 1” piece, chopped up - OR less if you grate it)
1 teaspoon loose tea: black teas are OK, but I have to recommend rooibos, as it low in tannins, is caffeine free, and has excellent health benefits and medicinal properties
DIRECTIONS:
Combine all ingredients except tea in a large stock pot.
Bring to a boil.
Simmer for 30 minutes.
Remove from heat and add tea.
Allow to steep for 5 minutes (you can let it steep longer if you use rooibos tea)
Strain
SERVING INSTRUCTIONS:
Sweetened coconut milk or almond milk and honey are a wonderful alternative to traditional dairy creamers.
Chill any unused portion and reheat as needed!
