Overnight Breakfast Casserole

INGREDIENTS:

6 slices of cubed white bread
1 pound of Sausage, cooked & drain fat
1/4 cup green pepper diced
1/4 cup celery diced
1 onion diced
1 4 oz. can mushrooms drained
1 cup 8 oz sharp cheddar cheese shredded 
6 large eggs
2 cup milk
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper 
(Can substitute sausage with small cubes of ham)

DIRECTIONS:
1. Butter bottom and sides of 13” x 9” x 2" casserole dish

2. Layer ingredients in a 13 " x 9" x2" casserole dish in the following order:  cubed bread, cooked sausage, green pepper, celery, onion,  mushrooms and cheese.

3.  Beat together eggs, milk, salt and pepper

4. Pour over layers

5. Cover with foil and refrigerate overnight

6. Bake uncovered at 350° for 35-45 minutes.  Serves 6 to 8 people
