Mound Bars

Mound Bars Submitted by: Kathryn Lutz INGREDIENTS: 2 cups graham cracker crumbs 1/4 cup confectioners sugar 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons melted butter 2 1/3 cups flaked coconut 1 can 15 oz. sweetened condensed milk 2 sqs. semisweet chocolate (1 square is 1 oz.) DIRECTIONS: 1. Combine crumbs, sugar and 1/2 cup butter press firmly into ungreased 13” x 9” pan 2. Bake at 350º for 10 minutes. 3. Combine coconut and sweetend condensed milk, mix well. Spread over baked layer return to oven. 4. Bake at 350º for about 12 minutes. Cool slightly. 5. Melt chocolate with remaining butter over low heat, stir to blend. Spread over coconut layer. 6. Cool. Cut into 2 x 1 inch bars. Refrigerate
